Not a pro by any means. But with the amount of fires and ducks we had this year i had to pull the trigger at the crows to get my fix. It is really this easy, buy a johnny stewart crow and owl tape go drivin around till you see a couple of crows, throw the tape in the truck casette and throw out a couple of decoys(not sure they were really needed) and wait for them to come.

I have found that driving around on country roads looking for crows works well. Once you have found them I go ask the farmer if I can hunt his crows. Then head back to where you saw them and if they are still there jump out of the truck. Head to the nearest cover and setup, youmust be hidden and not move much once setup.Once you shoot one, leave the caller on and ifthey haven't seen you they willoften come back. I use a Johnny Stewart Caller and 3 decoys. I have a variety of tapes but my best one is death cry of a crow. If the crows aren't there drive around on the property and you will likely find them. I also find where they are roosting and feeding and setup near these spots witha blind, decoys, and calls. Scouting is the Key to crow hunting.
hope this helps

buy a crow call, and if your too cheap to buy decoys, when im hunting on the ground i just throw a piece of black fabric about crow shaped where i want to shoot.

No. Crows are the exact opposite of stupid. They are the smartest bird in North America.
