Bird Flu
With the threat of the Bird Flu coming to the US, do you think you will hunt birds less this year. I don't want to hunt any less but I am concerned.

RE: Bird Flu
From everything I've seen and read, I feel a bit more unsure of the domestic fowl than wild fowl.
I'll continue to follow what the USFWS has to say, but unless they change their tune right now (unwilling to say no risk to hunters, but willing to say the risk is low), I'll be going out. Good luck, |

RE: Bird Flu
I wont be hunting as much! Maybe if it was the "ELk flu" I'd continue hunting but not for waterfowl. I guess I could just give the birds to my hunting partner to eat! He's pretty gung - ho about bird hunting and I dont think he will quit.

RE: Bird Flu
Just wondering if any waterfowlers have heard anything from their state or provincial wildlife departments if duck/goose hunting will be cancelled to reduce the spread of bird flu into the general population.

RE: Bird Flu
I doubt that they will stop the season, I mean youthink they would want us to shoot 'em up!! I don't know if animals can get it, and it's not like CWD where you can still eat the meat as long as you don't screw with the backbone/ spinal area........guess I have some research to do!!
