I mostly hunt fields for both ducks and geese, but will hunt over water ocasionally. Also will jump shoot ducks if the chance is availlable, and have a few sloughs where we have had unreal luck with jump shooting.Andy

Mostly water, but some field for goose. I like the water hunting much better, I will even hunt over water for geese as a first option. Fields are ok, just does not seem like waterfowling without the water. Our january late season is when I do most of my field hunting, but with our mild temperatures a lot of water has been open and that is where I have been hunting geese.

I've been lucky for my first season, to hunt timber, and flooded fields, as well as jump shooting on a pond and from some awesome river blinds. Its over for metomorrow . But, I've still got 16 days to sling a stick in a deer.-Nathan

anywhere that has ducks for me!!!!!!,rice fields, rivers, beaver dams, flodded timber, and once got picked to hunt aQuota waterfowl management area in middle Ga!!!PS Nate67 seen in one of your post thatduck huntn is for the rich kids....I might spend 20 bucks everytime I go hunting---,gas,a biscuit, cigs, and lunch on the way home! Just budget your money! You dont have to have the best of everything, when I first started waterfowlhunting I would buy the 5 dollar waders at walmart and throw them away after every hunt! Hope your season next year is better!

We hunt a little flooded timber, fields, swamps, rivers, and ponds. Pretty much any terrain VA has to offer!
