plans for seat in my blind?
After early goose season I found out that I need a place to rest my butt. So when I was in my blind that is all natural I have cat tails about 7-8' tall all around me. So even with being over 6' tall it is hard to see some times. I just made a 2 foot wide path for me and my dog to get into the water and I just kept asome cat tails in front of me and around me.
I just need something simple and easy since I do not have a boat to take the supplies to the blind. I am just wondering does anyone have any pics of their blinds when using a natrual setup or is their some easy to carry chairs for hunting? IL just has a rule about blinds being up all year mostly since I am hunting on wetlands, fludplains, and navical water water ways all in one. Thanks for any idea or hints. |
RE: plans for seat in my blind?
I use a 5 gallon bucket with an aftermarket padded swivel seat. I can carry tons of stuff in the bucket and it stays dry.

With the tall grass I think I would have a hard time seeing over it. I have seen those thing for $10 as bass pro.

RE: plans for seat in my blind?
makcs praire wings has got some seats made just for hunting where your talkin about. there made out of pvc pipe that has a cushion seat on one side, and has a piece stickin out of it to stop it from goin to far down into the ground. there about 60 bucks, i thought that was pretty high. id just look at how there made and then you could make you one yourself a whole lot cheaper.

RE: plans for seat in my blind?
This one can be changed depending on how soft your ground is: 1 2"x4" 4' long cut to a point on one end
1 1"x8" 1.5' long stand 2x4 up point side down and use the 1x8 as a seat and screw it to the 2x4. paint to match your blind. walk out, stick in ground, sit for hours. |
