What kind of ducks do ya get on the east coast? We get greenheads, baldpates, greenwing teal, cinamon teal, bluewing teal, woodies, gadwalls, shovelers(yuk), buffleheads, bluebills, goldeneye, sprig, an occasional can and tons of Canada geese, both greater and cacklers.

What, were hunting ducks and geese, what was I thinking I can't hit a bird to save my life. Seriously the name doesn't matter to me,I will limit out on Canadageese by Tuesday, then I have to wait till October for Duck season. Maybe I will go to Delaware and hunt also. But when Snow Goose starts I have no limit and shot over 300 last year alone. Farmers and Hunters feeding the hungery loved me.

You can be the "Captain" goosehunter22. Nate and I will go out this weekend. Sept 10,11. Thats our early goose season. It is about 80-85 degrees and dry and dusty. Maybe we can find them. We don't get going again until Oct. 15.through Jan31,06. Just bought a new laydown blind.
Can't wait.

Hey, its funny around here, the farmers won't let you chase pheasants or quail or deer, but mention geese they say "kill every one of those son's a xxxxx"s. I got permission on around a 30 by 30 mile area. ya baby.

A right team, Saturday is the opener. I bought some widgeon dekes, along with my mallards , a couple pintails and some duck butts and sleepers and some field. I take the field and tack them to a log in the pond we hunt. ducks love it. It sould be a great opener. I will be out on sat. my son and I on sunday. Scouted for geese a couple of miles away and found some using a green wheat field. Hopfully we can get some geese in the late morning. Good luck guys. Lets get the numbers up. Doug ;o)

RE: Official Team 13 Thread

They gotta decoy well. When they got there feet down and their breast to ya, you got a big target. You have to use broadheads and reg. fletched arrows, geese are faster than a flu flu can get there. Also, yu have to use a scorpio behind the arrow to keep the arrow in the bird. So I am told.
