How many Bands/Collars do you have???
 

I have hunted waterfowl for about 3 years now and the first goose I ever shot had a leg band on it. My father the first year he hunted geese (last year) shot a goose with a leg band on it as well. Both were shot off the same lake that we live on. We have a lot of geese with leg bands in the area, but for some reason they never find us in the field.

3 bands.

been duck hunting for about 7 years. out of about 300 ducks, 2 of them had leg bands. one was less than a year old, the other one was banded as an adult 11 years earlier.

also got a band from a pigeon, but that is another story for another thread. [8D]

I have about 5 3 from Mallards and 2 from Geese in one day for the geese. One of the geese just turned 2 and he was huge. Her was good for supper though. HHAA

I have only 2 leg bands from Canada geese.

I have 2 from mallards. One was on hen . I didn't shoot her on prupuse.

15 years of duck hunting and I have yet to get a band. I've had a few shot by guys I was with but never shot one myself. I guess I keep picking out the wrong birds...
