tips for a couple kids trying to make a dvd

My cousin and i are trying to make a dvd this year... we have a camera and a camera arm. it is going to be 100% youth hunts seeing as it is only the two of us. i was wondering if there is anything else we would need/want to invest in just to make it that much better.

PS i have experience videoing with my dad but we are trying to do this on our own...

Thanks
Storm

Remember to run as much film as possible because you never know what you will need for your DVD.

Bushnlo is right....gets lots of "filler" footage.

thanks guys, i currently have a flip mino camera but if i am able to i will use my dads sony mini dvd camcorder... but do you think the flip will work fine or not?

I don't know much about the flip but if it doesn't do high quality or have image stabilization, it won't be very good.

Remember to record everything in the highest possible quality. You can always lower the quality in the editing/rendering process if need be but if you don't have hq, in the raw footage, you can never replicate it.
