Mounting video camera on shotgn barrel

Hey everyone. I've been thinking about filming my own hunts. Have not decided on what videocamera to use yet. More often than not i will be by myself.

For turkey hunting, will a barrel mounted camera work well, or would the recoil of the shot be hard on the videocamera?

Would it be worse on a hard drive camera?

Same for a bow mounted videocamera?

I was thinking of getting the Rifle Cam Mount. It does have a recoil shock absorber. http://www.theriflecam.com/pdf/riflecam.pdf

I honestly wouldn't suggest a gun mount because the recoil will cause the camera to miss some of theafter shot. Go find the cheapest tripod you can find and put your camera on that.

I agree. This is the kind of footage you'll get. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aa87pPE5h38
I'd just get a tripod. Nikon makes a decent camo one for about $70. http://www.opticsplanet.net/nikon-co...mo-tripod.html
