Want to get paid for your photographs and video?
If you guys fall into the majority of America as far as this economic slump is going then I know it won't hurt a few of you to put some cash back in your pocket.
Well as if you didn't need a reason to get out into outdoors and shoot some photos or video, I figured I'd let you know about this one and give you another reason.
Shutterstockis a company that will pay you for your photos and video. You upload your products and you get paid when people download your products. The only thing that sucks about it, is that once you upload it, people are free to do whatever they want with it!!!

If you guys haven't looked the web site yet you might want to.
I haven't read through everything yet, but I'm thinking about setting up an account with them.
I have a lot of Alaska wildlife video I wouldn't mind selling.

Looks like HD footage would garner you the most $$ , but I have to wonder what your cut is.........also how can you track the number of downloads so the company doesn't screw you????

For video footage I could see it being decent, but I'm not sure I want to release my photos royalty free for only $.25 a download. I'm beginning to establish an outdoor photo portfolio, and I don't think I would like having my images being used throughout the web. Not that I plan to make a ton of money of my hobby, but the shots take effort on my end, and I would hate to see them go for as low as $.25/download. If I knew they would be downloaded 500+ times, I would be ok with it though

I just shot this one today then uploaded it. Already it took 14 downloads as of the time I made this post. To me it was a bad shot, but I guess 14 people thought it was usable in whatever they are doing!

Videographer ... that black and white looks good here in Kentucky, especially with the contrasts, for example wings up versus wings down and etc! [8D]
