video camera recommendations please ???
 

I recently purchased one of the mounting devices that will mount a video camera to a bow, rifle, shotgun. I have been looking around at some video cameras and wanted to see if i could get some pointers from anyone with experience. I am looking at the small handheld kind in the $200-$400. Of course, the cheaper the better, but want it to do the job. Since it will be mounted on my bow and gun, there will be recoil and I do not want to get one that will shut off automatically. Also, since it will be mounted to my weapons, the lighter the better. I like the idea of the mini dvd kind, since I am not to computer friendly, but did not know if the dvd would be like a cd and skip when given a jolt like a bow being released or gun being fired. Any particular brand, model? tape, mini dvd, memory stick?
any info would be appreciated.

If you will have it mounted on your weapons, stay away from mini DVD and mini DV for that matter (rarely do I say that:)) The recoil from your gun or bow with cause them to skip, the only way to avoid skipping or at least keep it to a minimum is Hard drive.
