editing music

I have been using Windows Movie Maker (I know it sucks, but it's all I got on my home computer, I have FCE at school) to make some movies, but I cannot get music onto the video b/c it says there is an error and sometimes the music is not in the right format. I have all my music in itunes,I converted it to different formats but none work. Anyone know about this problem or how to fix it?

I havn't used WMM in forever, but as long as you have converted the music files to Mp 3 you should be able to add them to the timeline.

Chris is right..MP3 always...if not something else is going on....

By a cheap version of Studio 11 or 12 for 40 bucks and you'll be happier.
