The show I'll be filming for this fall requires wireless mics, HD and 24p.
What benefit do you gain by filming in 24p?

I've found the Samson wireless mic system to work well. The price is just under 300.00.
X2. I've got the Airliners and they work great.

The only reason for shooting 24p is to get a "film look" in your footage, actually if your videoing in progressive mode you should use 30p as you will get less artifacts and judder...........but that said, it is extremely difficult to capture fast moving objects in progressive mode without getting blurred footage (panning at any speed other than a crawl will not turn out well)...............I will stick with 60i on all hunting shoots, and if you plan on slowmo in post, set your shutter speed to 120 to get super smooth slow motion.

I am curious what video crews are actually shooting in progressive mode?????????

We shoot predominately all of our primary hunting footage in 60i, and we do shoot some 24p stuff to mix in for some cool B-roll type stuff, interviews, etc.

Right for action shots during hunting situations 60i is the prefered format,24p or30p for B-roll and interviews has been something alot of companies have been doing for quite some time............I am curious who is shooting progressive in hunting situations?
