I have about 5 of them. they are great cameras. The low light is not the best i've seen but you really shouldn't shoot a deer anyway if you can't see him on camera. haha.

I have a Z1U and love it in low light.....but I wish I had a V1U for the 20x zoom. I also like how easy it is to fine tune some of the settings on the V1U. If I had to choose between the two of them........hmmmmmm, tough decision. Probably have to go with the Z1U since most of the hunts I film are archery and the 20x zoom isn't as important as the low light advantage.

where would you put your wireless mic on the camera? you really couldnt put it on the back of the camera because thats where the battery is and it has no cover going over the battery

I mount my audio receiver on top of the camera. but if you have multiple receivers then i would go with the bracket.

You can also find a similiar bracket on ebay for around $25 bucks, the bracket1 units are anywhere from $90-$110;)
