Camera Cover

Anyone have any experience with a cover for their camera from Portabrace? I'm really close to buying one but haven't decided yet. I'm worried about dust and using it in the rain. The cover should work well to prevent both, but I think it will definately limit the camera mans ability to adjust settings while recording.

Portabrace is one of the vest known names in the film/broadcast industry for making rain/weather covers for cameras.
Can't go wrong and it's better safe than sorry during 'iffy' weather.
Just buy it camera specific.

I use one made by CamKote. It comes in camo, is waterproof and thinsulated. It has pockets built in for hand warmers to keep batteries warm. It's awesome.

Are you guys using the portabrace having any trouble getting it around accesories like wireless mics and shotgun mics?

Nope it takes a little practice and where you put things but then the only other option is staying home and that is not happening!! Walt

Good point Walt. I guess I may get it and only use it when it's raining. I had thought about leaving it on all the time to keep the dust away, but I hate having all the manual controls covered up. I can sacrifice them in the rain though as long as I can get out there.

If you contact Ken Barry from Porta Brace he can and will custom fit a coverfor your camera (at an additional cost of course). I have products from them and they are always awesome to deal with!!!
