RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
Matt......That was AWESOME!!!! Those goose hunts were crazy. You should film a segment this year about how you reached across state lines and invited a Illinois guy hunting, showing people that Hoosiers and Illini CAN get along:D
What video editing software did you use for this project? Again, great job. Oh one ?....Are there any bow hunts on your DVD? Later-Dennis |

sweet looks good!

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
This was edited on Mac Final Cut Studio 2. ;) No bow hunts for deer on this video. This video has waterfowl hunts, bonus footage of some waterfowl hunts from Canada, youth waterfowl hunt, special needs youth deer hunt called the "Freedom Hunt" where several of the youth are able to harvest their first deer ever on video, and then we have several turkey hunts, all is Indiana based hunting, except the bonus footage from Canada. ;)

All of the footage was from last season, except for a couple of turkey hunts, we also have a turkey only video that will be coming out in Feb. '09

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
Very nice Matt.
What did you use to get the old film look? |
RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
That is a "special" blend of several standard filters with slight modifications for hue, opacity, etc. This is created in Motion and then imported to Final Cut and applied as a filter over the footage in the timeline and rendered. I hope that helps answer your question?

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
Thanks for the info. I have FCS 2 and am still learning Motion. Very well done.

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
I just watched the clip and liked it alot. I also just ordered one. I also have one question. Sorry!! Where did you get the music? It works great for an intro.

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
mlo,
Thanks for the order. ;) The music is from Digital Juice, www.digitaljuice.com . It is from the Stack Trax, epic tracks. We use alot of the digital juice stuff, it really is top notch! The music is great also, differing length clips, and also able to go in and manipulate the music as well by turning on and off the percussions, etc. so you can customize the music to fit your project and make a single piece of music into several differing variations, etc. I hope that helps. ;) |
RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
Good job on the camera work and the editing.

RE: "Making the Squad" promo video!
Thanks. I have some digital juice stuff too. The only stack trax that I have is TOP FORTY. I will have to look into the epic tracks.

Keep at it guys!!!:) Learn a good workflow, only do what you can and do it really well, and then slowly but surely experiment and try things as you learn them, don't try and run before you walk! ;) Learn to shoot good footage first! A good program to cut your teeth on is actually Premiere Elements for PC or Final Cut Express (i believe that is the name) for Mac. These programs are much more user friendly for novices or beginners, not so many features and function like the Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, just easier to navigate and simple functions, but very capable programs. Don't give up!!! :D
