How many hours on the camera? Sounds like a decent deal, you should know that the GL2 is known for head problems if it has alot of hours on it.

What camera isn't with alot of hours on it!? [8D] We've used our GL2 a TON, and the only issue that I've come across is every once in a while you will get an error when loading a tape, all you simply do is eject the tape and put it in again, problem solved. This is the only issue of any consistency that we have come across with the GL2, other than that it is an awesome camera especially for the lighweight compact size too. Only other possible issue with a GL2 is the 1/4" sensors, you will struggle some compared to 1/3" sensor in low light, but otherwise I love our GL2's!

Just relaying experiences had by more than one person I know that used (note i said "used") the GL2, now it may have been a couple of lemon models they got, but I have also seen posts on other sites regarding GL2 issues. Hope it works well for you Chase if you decide to pull the trigger.

well...I'm not buying it! thats the good thing..

I've got another guy buying it..and were trading a couple deer hunts for it...then swpping hunts next year!

A friend of mine uses a GL2 and has a ton of hours on his and beats it up pretty good using it to capture footage as a playback deck and it is now starting to give him some problems, but it still works. If the hours aren't too high and it wasn't used as a playback deck that is a pretty good deal.
