What camera bag/pack?
How are you guys transporting your camera and tripod/tree arm into and out of the woods?
I'm likely going to be using a smaller consumer grade camera of some sort this upcoming fall (probably a Sony DCR-HC52), and more than likely the Lone Wolf arm assembly. What bag/pack would work well for the camera/arm/extra battery/tapes that would also be somewhat water resistant? |
RE: What camera bag/pack?

RE: What camera bag/pack?
I can tell you this. DO NOT use a carbon lined bag to carry your camera in. I used a scent blocker bag for years with my XL1s. When I sent it to Canon to get cleaned, they said it looked like black sand or dust was in it. It was the carbon from the bag I carried it in for years. $400.00 later it was clean. No more carbon bags for me.

Campbells has a good one.. it has straps inside to hold your camera down.
Sams Club had some fanny packs for 15bucks.... it works GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! |
RE: What camera bag/pack?
If you're using a small consumer camera and a small arm any pack should do. If you will be filming some walk-in/walk-out scenes you will have it out most of the time anyway. For transporting my camera I got a waterfowlers blind bag. It's nice because it is water resistant, padded, a perfect size, and carries all of my stuff. Also, if I'm hunting out of a blind I can just leave that bag on the ground because it is camo and it blends right in.
