Good Camera?

I'm looking for a good camera to start filming for fun. I found a Panasonic VDR-D50 that I like. Does anyone have one of these and what do you think?

It's a mini DVD. Do you think the mini DVD or tapes are better for filming hunts?

I'd appreciate any input you may have. I'm looking to keep the price around $350. I'd be using it for Deer and turkey of course but I would also like to film waterfowl, especially geese.

Thanks for the help

RE: Good Camera?

I would recommend that you use a mini dv tape. I use tape and am very happy with it. There are many good things to keep in mind when buy a camera I would suggest one thing to keep in mind you want the most optical zoom for your money, digital zoom is not worth it, grainy, breaks-up etc....

Good Luck.
