whats a good software foe a beginner to use, that easy to understand and use?

Paint Shop pro would probably be the best program to start out with. It allows you to adjust levels, curves and create layersbut isn't as complex as Photoshop orLightroom.

Paint Pro shop Def.... Then move up toPhoto shop Cs2...

Paint.net is another good editing too for beginner photo editing, and the best part is that it's FREE. You can get it at http://www.getpaint.net/
