Video Editing/File Converting ???

I tried to use window's movie maker but it wont load this type of file, the file type is .MOD how can i convert it to and .MPG or .MPEG or different kind of file to edit this, the camera is a jvc 20g hd

The file will play on window's media player but doesnt load with the quicktime player. any help would be much appreciated!

You could go here and try it. Looks like what your needing to convert it to something more common so you can edit it.

Not to burst your bubble but in my opinion, the Hard Drive cameras are crap. They record in .MOD format and when you go to put it on ur computer, you get a lose in quality andreally poor quality when you convert it to another format. I stick with my Panasonic 3CCD MiniDV. One of the best for the the money.
