Looking for camera advice

I want to get a inexpensive handy cam or something just to film deer around my stand. It will need to zoom to around 25 yards at the most. Is there something I could achieve this with for under 300.00. Would a 34X optical zoom be enough?

34x optical would be more than enough out to 100 yards.............there are cameras that can be had for around $300, I would personally go with something in mini-dv format as it is easiest to capture and edit in most pc programs.

Good luck!

I use a Sony CCD-TRV22, its older but works good, plus you can get them on ebay for under $100.00, I have got them for $30.00 to $40.00 shipped. I have three now I mean two, I droped one out of the treestand last year. There are many models that take the same battery, Here are a few so you can search around,

TRV12
TRV21

TRV33
