QUIET Camcorder

I'm looking for a QUIET little camcorder.

I would prefer a MINI DV camcoder, but a Mini DVD might work too. I already own a Panasonic PV-GS500 for a home/personal camcorder, but I don't want to take it out in the woods.

The main thing I'm looking for here is someting that is QUIET and doesn't make beeping noises to spook deer/wildlife and something cheap thats not going to hurt my feelings if I drop it out of a tree or it gets rained on or something.

Let me know if you know a good knock-around quiet camcorder.

Even most consumer video cameras have a menu selection that will turn off the
'beeping'......it's usually under the 'user' profiles.
99% of most operators turn them off anyway as your reminders can usually be seen in your viewfinder or LCD.
