RE: Video camera opinions!
You'll get better low light condition footage w/ the sony pd 170. The Cannon gl2 is not as good but the footage from both in lighted conditions are roughly the same. If you are wanting better and looking to spend over 5K than look at some HD cameras which I don't have enough knowledge of them to guide you there.
You'll spend plenty for a pd 170 once you get eveything you need for it 4-5K I would say. Good luck |
RE: Video camera opinions!
All I can say Is I love my PD170 its the right size and the low light footage is by far superior to anything out there!!
Talltines is right if you want to spend the big bucks then the new HD but I don't now enough about those to guide you either!! Walt |

IMO, the PD-170 is thebest for a Prosumer camera line.

RE: Video camera opinions!
I have a Canon GL2 and XL2 and both are great cameras. I like the xl1for filming deer hunting and Gl2 for fast action filming. GL2 is a lot more compact.
