Lone wolf camera arm??

If anyone has used a Lone Wolf camera arm, can you tell me what give me your thoughts on it?

As with anything in life, there's good and then there's bad.

Good: Very portable, very lightweight, very easy to set up and use. Perfect for filming your own hunts.

Bad: Not long enough to reach around bigger trees, especially when filmign another hunter. Not big enough to support a larger camera (anything much bigger than a GL2). The head that comes with it sucks.

So there you have it. For filming your own hunts with a small camera you really can't beat it. For anything more than that, you might want to look at something a little bigger.

I am on the Lone Wolf Pro-staff and am good friends with Andrea the owner. Actually, this arm is made for the smaller cameras, but Justin has probably just seen the "standard" modal. You can purchase a 3rd link to the arm making it more suitable for larger cameras, with the extra arm a XL2 camera will work. Andrea was experimenting with better heads also, while I was at his Xmass party, and I would be surprized if he has not found a better one by now. I was purchaseing all my arms without heads and getting the heads from John Kitscha at http://www.ultimaterecreation.biz/ I don't think he has "panheads" listed
on the website, but he can certainly get you what you need if you email him from his site.

Dan - you're correct, I was using an out-of-the-box arm with the standard head and 2 sections. I replaced the head with a Bogan 501 (if I remember exactly) which helped a lot. I still wanted a little extra length though, and a 3rd section would've been awesome. Still love it for self-filming, but definitely wasn't cutting the mustard trying to film someone else.

Justin,
You can still get that 3rd arm if you want. Its just another alum. bar and
hardwear so price would be minamal to add on to your set up.
