Home made videocamera stand?
Anyone ever made one that attaches to the tree so you can film your own hunts. I've seen them for sale, but didn't really want to spend 100 bucks on one when I have access to a welder.
Thanks |

RE: Home made videocamera stand?
Any ideas on a portable mount you can use to steady a camera against a tree for a quick photo? I know when I zoom my camera in that I am not very steady when taking pictures a long distances. I would only want to use on the moment type of thing and not attached to the tree itself.

Someone told me that you can use an old gun stock and mount your camera to that. Has anyone tried that? I think that might work OK for what I want to do.

RE: Home made videocamera stand?
Use 2 inch pvc pipe about 3ft long and put a L shape cuppler in the middle so you can add two 6 inch handles. Then put about 5pds wieght at the bottom for counter wieght,Put a cap on the top with a 3/8 bolt in the middle and mount your perfered mount. Then put your your strap on to go around your neck and you will have a great little system for walking and getting great pics that can reach out there. Walt

RE: Home made videocamera stand?
Thank You stikbow26!! That sounds like a great idea and it is something along the lines I am looking for. Something portable and lite that I can take along fishing or hunting that will allow me to steady the camera better to get those long shot photos I have been wanting to get. Again Thank You!
