Anyone know anything about the Panasonic PV-GS300? I saw it at BestBuy this morning. It is a 3ccd camera, but it only has 10x zoom. They had it for under $600 which is much more in my price range than many of the other 3 ccd cams.[/align]

From what I have read this Panasonic is rated high - per Consumer Reports - but its downfall is its low light capability....or lack of. Search for camcorder reviews on the internet and you'll find a lot of info.

I currently own a Panasonic that I have had for 3 years now and wouldn't want to change it for nothing. I bought Panasonic after seeing rhem tested at work. Alot of video cameras were tested at work for a year and 1/2 and nothing lasted as long as the Panasonic did. They were tested at a rate of twenty four hours a day in around dampness and at times dust. Panasonic out lasted them all by a long shot.

I also have one of these, an outstanding camera. There are available 2x auxiliary lenses that make it 2-20 power that work quite well, if you need more magnification (try E-bay).
