Need help with a trap shooting question.

Has any body here ever shot a 20 GA. in a trap meet? I'm a young hunter and I would like to compete in trap but I was wondering if 20 GA. is anuf gun for trap compition. While I could probly handle a 12 GA. I do not have the money for one right now. Thanks for any help you can give me.

A 20 ga that you shoot well is better than a 12 that you dont. Maybe you wont win right away, but I doubt you would switching guns either. So give it a try and see how you like it. Besides, if you REALLY like it, you will want some fancy-smancy trap gun that you know nothing about right now. Go compete and have fun.

A 20ga will do fine, I use a 28ga sometimes. Which choke are you using in your gun? A tighter choke will help you in this game. Improved mod or a full would be my choice. Go play with both and see which one works best for you. Be smooth and have fun.
