The sheer fact that there were that many doves around is pretty crazy, must have been a good breeding year. i'm lucky to see a flock of over 5.

I heard that the single day record for dove in Argentina was just over 5,000 birds in a day. It was done by a Saudi Prince that had a team of people loading multiple guns and collecting birds. I have had good days in Sikeston Mo. but there is a a 12 a day bag limit.

Here is a video clip that will give you a feel for the number of birds we have down here.

doves

The season is never closed and there is no limit. As far as the govt. and the farmers are concerned, the more you shoot the better. If you can come down in Oct or Nov you are invited. Just pay for your license ($30/day) and your shells ($9/box). Has to be those months though. after that I am too busy.

That is awesome! I have a friend that made it down for a similar hunt, he tried to explain it. I now I understand what he was talking about. I also see how those birds could be a neusance and work over a field pretty well. Do the birds get eaten?
