It's too bad that draining Wisconsin's wetlands and paving over prairies in the name of progress has all but ended what was once a very good pheasant/duck hunting state. I guess thats what happens when you have republican governors over for 75% of the state's history. All business no environment. Pollute as much as you want as long as you bring in big money.

Handles,
Republican's pollute?
I lived near Milwaukee my entire life. There has never been a Mayor that wasn't from the Socialist Party or Democrat Party (redundant). The city has dumped BILLIONS of gallons of raw sewage into lake Michigan and you liberals don't say squat about it because you think big government is the answer. A company drops an ounce in the Milwaukee River or lake and they are fined millions$.

Madison government is even more liberal, what have they done for the environment. There is more development in and around Madison than any other place in the state.

The fact of the matter (according to the much more highly funded DNR under Thompson-Republican) is that Wisconsin is gaining in forest land by private land owners, with state aid, planting trees in areas that were once large farm plots. Pheasants don't thrive near large forests due to the high concentration of predators.

The rebound of pheasants is happening and it is due to organizations like Pheasants Forever and there lobbiest in Washington. President Bush signed one of largest expansions of the CRP and Wetlands program in our history. He is a hunter and relates to our needs. Oh ,by the way he is a Republican.

Duck hunting by the Mississippi is fantastic if you know what your doing. Novice hunters may have tough time, but that's called...HUNTING!!!

Go ahead and vote for kerry who was recently qouted as being a "hunter". He claimed he hunted deer using a double barrel with pellets and stalked them by crawling on his belly. He is also pictured in Field and Stream holding a Semi-Auto that he and Hitlery Clinton, Schumar, Kennedy and other lefties wrote a bill to ban.

I always ask that before a liberal spews garbage that they actually educate themselves on the topics.

Stop listening to National Public Radio and UW professors and educate yourself by talking to those that know first hand by actually being out there not by those wearing Berkenstocks and smoking weed in Madison.

I too am PF,DU,WU. I'm not sure if i will ever be NRA. I am also a UW Professor that lived in Milwaukee. I will agree that Norquist is and was an idiot. He incorporated, or attempted to incorporate many I don't listen to NPR in fact my favorite talk radio is Ruch, Mark Belling, Bob and Brian, all staunch republicans. As far as the sewage in milwaukee, they could be and should be fined by the state for every drop of raw sewage that goes into that lake, but they aren't That job belongs to the Govenor and his staff. As far as madison goes without the liberals fighting for it we wouldn't have the arboretum and other natural areas. Those places are prime location and territory for building.
