Pheasant Hunting Tips?
I' m an avid Duck hunter and have spent a great deal of time hunting Dove and Quail. However, I' ve not had many opportunities to hunt Pheasant. I' m thinking about going on a pheasant hunting trip to North Kansas, and I want to be as prepared as possible. Do any of you know of a website that contains tips on Pheasant hunting or provides advice on strategy involved for Pheasant hunting? Books?
Thanks in advance, TulsaOkie |

RE: Pheasant Hunting Tips?
I will throw out a few tips. Always hunt into the wind. Make as little noise as possible, especially late in the year. I recommend using nothing smaller than 5s. I like a modified choke until the very end, when they get jumpy I may go to a full choke. If you hunt behind pointers and they go on point, dont delay in flushing the bird. A lot of newcomers sashay up to the point like they have all day. The rooster usually makes his escape in that time. Every hunter should pinpoint every dropped bird.
