RGS grouse and woodcock report for 2015 hunting season
 

Hey OT - Over the past couple weeks my friend and I have been putting up tree stands to get ready for archery season. We've flushed more grouse this year than we have in the past several years. I just might be lucky enough to bag a couple this year. They are the best eating upland bird there is IMO.

They are pretty tastey. Good to hear you are seeing an increase.

I have not seen many grouse up here as of yet.. Perhaps because last winter was so harsh with all the snow we received? I have been seeing woodcock for a little while now so they are looking to be in great supply..

I've always seen them up our cabin in Clinton Co. But the mtns there are just too steep to side hill for my old legs to handle for grouse. Adn everywhere you go from our front door is up hill!
