San Antonio Texas

I'm moving to there beginning nov. I'm looking for some insight to winter hunting areas around the city (up to 100 miles away). Also up for any tips on duck hunts or coyotes or hogs.

Texas is a state where almost all the land is privately held and the public land that is there gets hunted a lot as a result. About the only way to have good hunting is to either own property or do like most do, which is get on a lease. Good property is expensive and generally you'll need to be on it with other people if it's of any size. The hill country north of SAT is some beautiful country, while that south down to the border is called the brush country. If you draw a 100 mile circle around SAT it is all good for deer, hogs, and coyotes. When you get there you'll just have to start plugging away to find some property that's available to lease or possibly find someone you will be working with that can get you on a place with them or knows of a place or two that's available.

Thanks top gun. I've done some research and I found a crap ton of pay per day dove and duck hunts on craigslist of all places. Got to go to fl first to get a new shotgun (thinking Red Label or Beretta Pigeon) and then ill make the way there with a quick stop in Nola for Halloween.
