Default Michigan pats/grouse fall 2013

I am from northeast Indiana with two nice young pointers. I have been going to Cadillac late October but I am looking to make some trip changes. Since one of my dogs will be in it's first season I am wanting to be smart about the change. Cadillac has been fun and somewhat productive but I am thinking there might be other areas of Michigan that I should try. I have been bird hunting all of my life, just grew up in the south hunting quail. Just learning this grouse/pat thing. Any words of wisdom? Thanks in advance!

Atlanta, Michigan. Higher grouse concentrations. It was in Hunting magazine once for one of the best grouse hunting areas in the country. Same kind of country, just better populations. Look into it.
