I went shooting once in Wales. It was great fun.

It was at some of the Gwyn Evans shoots/Bettwshall and arranged through Ian Coley.

One day we were near Snowdonia in a valley that had a very tall waterfall. It was a bucolic setting. Suddenly, two RAF jets came screaming through the valley at near ground level. It was a quick reminder that we were in the 21st century. :-)

I know exactually where you mean, I'm only a 30 min drive from there. The jets are pretty cool to see, especially when there below you.
