what chokes 28G Grouse hunt?
I have a 28g side by side. It has the improved/cylinder and modified in now. Was going to do some grouse hunting this weekend & I'm not sure what would be best. I have a Full & improved/mod that I can also use.
I gave up our shooting club membership a good 6-7 years ago, so I'll be shooting on instinct, as I haven't picked up a shotgun in that long. I know the full & IM chokes will give me a bit more time and range, but is that defeating my angle, as I'll be in pretty dense new growth swampy area & might not even have a long shot? |
Me. I use Cylinder and then Improved Cylinder. But then I shooting over pointing dogs.
And I hunt thinck stuff. Have hunted before with Mod and Full too. Depends on the cover. JW |

I've killed more grouse in my life with my .410 than anything. I'd think I/C & Mod is perfect. Many of them don't fly 'til you almost step on them. Good Luck!
