how many of you hunt land where non-tox shells
are required. I would be curious to know the state
and type of bird you hunt.

anything over water here and ya cant use lead.....i think that is everywhere...even lands that are flood plains or if water leaves the area to head to a natural stream or body of water.

I believe that anytime you hunt waterfowl, whether over water or in fields. Non-toxic shot must be used.
Also, last time I hunted a Refuge that was selectively open to hunting, again non-toxic shot was required, with no lead in your possession.
I'm not sure if it makes any difference what the quarry is that is being hunted.

That is what I thought. We have a pheasant hunting trip
to Kansas planned so we are gonna bring HeviMetal
Pheasant 2 3/4 #4's. 1500 FPS should do the trick on those
Kansas Pheasants.

i just use Winchester expert steel #4 for all my pheasant hunts with great results.

Our days in the Pheasant fields are few and far between so, I am
going to use the best ammo I can find and that is the HeviShot
pheasant loads. I am sure hoping that the numbers of pheasants
in North Central Kansas are high this year.

It isn't just over water or waterfowl you need to use non-toxic shot. Fed Waterfowl production lands also require non-toxic shot to hunt both waterfowl and upland game. So, we do, again tomorrow in western MN in the snow storm.

I have decided to use strictly HeviShot Pheasant on all
Pheasant trips. The stuff is awesome and I like it
better than any other shell.

I hunt Pheasant on Army Corp of Engineers land here in Illinois and am required to use non-toxic shot. I use #4 Steel.
