Wood**** good eating???

Default Wood**** good eating???

Ive been hunting the grey ghost and there partners the wood**** for 18 years. Every year i get a wood**** or two but usually only out for the grouse. Ive heard that wood**** are'nt very good eating!! Is this true??? Ive eatin every upland bird out there, all with good results but still have'nt tried wood****, any comments would be appreciated.....

Great appetizers, unless you are alone. Cut the breasts up into strips (3 per breast). Dredge in flour mixture (flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder). Fry. Serve with dipping sauce (sweet n sour, terryaki, whatever). Good stuff.

Breast them out, saute' in bacon fat then slice and put on buttered toast.

Great breakfast after a morning hunt and before you prepare your larger birds.

Yeah the censor was unexpected but of course funny as he11.....thanks for the info though on the recipes....Im headed to northern wisconsin on the 21st for a five day trip to go grouse hunting with my dad and my dog and I cant wait!!
