Unguided quail hunts

Hey everyone, still relatively new to this forum but I have a few questions about a quail hunt I am thinking about taking this weekend. The place is in Tunnel Hill, GA and they seem to have some really good deals. An unguided quail hunt with no dogs is 75 bucks. I am a little short on cash but can't seem to resist this deal. Do you guys think that I will see many birds if I don't do the guided one? Do you have any tips for hunting unguided areas where you are not familiar? Anything that you guys have to say will be much appreciated. Their season goes to March 31.

IMO quail hunting without dogs is like having sex by yourself. The dog work is what makes a quail hunt!!

I could not agree with you more. I can't wait to get my own dog but I do not have a yard with even close to sufficient space for a hunting dog. I do enjoy shooting some birds though. Eating them i nice too ;)

FWIW - Triple S is more of a game bird farm. Raise birds to sell to other preserves. Hunting ground was a bit lacking, but they had plenty of birds out. I paid the $75, hunted my 17 birds, and flushed a good 2 dozen others.
