I am looking for a place (preserve) to do some quail hunting in Va. or within 4-5 hours drive from V Beach. We used to go just west of Charlottsville and you could rent a dog and the birds flew pretty well. The last place we went out near Wintergreen was Bad. Birds were in an open pasture with little to no cover and most would not fly. Would love to find a place to take several old guys and get a descent hunt in.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

this shows all the game preserves in Virginia. Best way to find a good one is to go check them out before hand. I have used a couple up here in Northern VA but thats a stretch from where your from.
