My buddy has an English Setter, his name is Dobson and he says he's a spectactular dog.
I have yet to hunt with his new dog (maybe 3 years old), however I did hunt over his past dog named Sullivan and he did pretty good.
Total times I've hunted over a dog was once 20 years ago, over a Brit, and 2 times with Sullivan.
I keep threating my wife that I'll get one some day and it will probably be an English, as they are very beautiful in my eyes.

For the past 26 years of bird hunting, I personaly have been used as the dog, as I am the smallest, fastest, most nimble of our group (not to mention best looking) and can traverse the tightest/swampiest/thickest cover East of the Mississippi (yuk-yuk-yuk!)

Great pics, but I must say I find the traditional english setter has more style than what we've created over here.

Great pics, love em. Have a lab now, but am really leaning towards a setter when he retires. I just like the way they look in the grouse woods.
