RE: upland loads

I shooting a 28ga Ruger Red Label with 3/4oz loads[all reloads by me], for quail 7 1/2s, everything else 6s or 5s. I very seldom put in anything other than IC/IC chokes. Add in a couple of good GSPs and I kill birds.

I reload all of mine. I like all of my loads from trap to dove to pheasant to have the same velocity so my leads are consistent.12 ga1350fps #6 for Pheas #71/2 for quail and dove #6 for chukar and huns. My Browning Gold Medal is as light as most 20ga.

RE: upland loads

I only use a SBE II 12 ga now. Before that is was an 1187. 1 1/4 oz fed premium #4 for pheasants, and 1 1/8 oz #7 1/2 for grouse. But with the was shells went up around here, I'm going back to 1 1/2 oz #4 handloads. I really like the copper plated buffered premiums, but shooting 20-30 boxes at damn near $20/box aint gonna cut it anymore.[:@]
