I live in colorado and i huted on public land and it sucked there was no cover,water and it was being heavily grazed and i was wondering where in colorado where there are some birds....

I've busted coveys in the SWA's along the South Platte River. Not a lot but, I was w/o dog.

Same here, but less than last year. Brush and JKTooldog havebusted several coveys to my surprise, while walking arround and not being ready to shoot. Other than that, you probably need to go far southeast to get into the good bird areas.
