First Bird and First Limit
I took a good friend of mine out pheasant hunting in E WA Friday afternoon. My shorthair worked great and the weather was beautiful. He shot his first rooster and shot his first limit all in the same day! How many of us can say that. It was a lot of fun watching someone catch "pheasant fever" and helped remind me how blessed we are to have the opportunity to chase after these birds.

RE: First Bird and First Limit
If a person is going to huntthes birds then the only way to go is wild bird hunt! Preserve hunts are ok if your in a bind for time but nothing compares to wild birds!Preserve birds you can hunt like on TV...walk talk about your stratigy, compare guns, chat about weather....wild birds that I've hunted here in Texas you don't even whisper! You slam a truck door the hunt is over, hand signals are important and planning ahead pays divadends! I sure miss my annual journey to the panhandle to chase "ditch chickens"!:D
