That's an awesome feeling when a dog works, good job. I enjoy watching my dog work just as much as hunting!

I know how it feels. My dog that I have just brought me her first pheasant and also my first pheasant of the year on Sunday morning. It is really neat to see your dog retrieve her first bird and do exactly how she should.

WHOA! I didn't say "exactly how she should". ;) Heh. She did fine, though. We just need to "tune" it some.

Yeah, but I think a pup's first retreive is as good as it gets, if you know what I mean.:);)
My dog has some kinks to work out too, buta dog's first retrieve is something to be proud of, as you have already found out.
