RE: eurosian doves
Yeah, we consider them a bonus bird here in Oklahoma. They eat just like a regular dove except they are twice the size.

RE: eurosian doves
Yes, they are a lighter color and have a black/brown ring around their neck.

RE: eurosian doves
Thanks man. Do they sond the same in flight?
|
RE: eurosian doves
they are very much the same bird just bigger and some different coloring. Good luck!

RE: eurosian doves
They have a different "coo" when stationary. They're expanding rapidly. If you clean them you have to count them-check your state regulations.
The ones we've whacked taste like dove, they're bigger though. Their flight is a little different, they're usually in groups of about half a dozen or so. Not like our mourning doves that are in pairs or singles or the occasional trio... |
RE: eurosian doves
Arizona changed its limit this year from a bag limit of 25 to unlimited, plus we can hunt them year round. We have Mourning Doves, White-wing Doves and Eurasian Doves here to test our abililties. They are twice the size of a MD and fly slower and they have a more squared off tail than a MD.
