moving to Green Bay, WI

I am getting transfered to Green Bay, Wi in June and was wondering how the upland, waterfoul and deer hunting is? I have 3 English Setter and hope that the hunting is good.

I think you will find it pretty much the same as most any part of the northeast. Rain in early spring can cause a bad year if birds had started laying. Also predators will keep the numbers down. I flew my Irish Setters out of Wi. and they had some good years as well as bad years it depends on the 2 factors mentioned the most.

I just met a guy from up that way. He told me that there is good duck and turkey and great deer hunting. You should be able to keep yourself busy up there.

If you get up a little further north, the bird population is on the up-swing after a number of bad years. As with anything, it is cyclical. It was a real mild winter this year up there, not too much snow so what was left shouldn't have had too much trouble making it through the winter. I would say within a few years it should be back to fantastic hunting again.
