This must be Tred Barta posting in disguise. Everything he hunts is with a long bow, including pheasant and waterfowl. I'm sure either it's a kill or a clean miss. Mostly the later. I guess if that's what someone enjoys, why not.
I just enjoy hunting with my Benelli, dog and buddy. ;)

Seems like it would be really difficult and if you missed then you would have to take the long walk to get your arrows. would be fun though
Ive never shot at a bird with my bow, mostly just because there arnt a lot of game birds around my area. So im not sure what kind of setup you would use, but wouldnt you want to shoot them with a flu-flu? That way if you missed your arrows wouldnt go too far. AmI correct?
Definitely flu flu arrows .... they die out fast after 30 yards and drop out of the sky slowly when you miss ..... less dangerous than birdshot, as it has less range and the arrow that missed falls harmlessly to the ground. Tons of fun and it sure isn't stupid!!!;)

I'll bet Washington Hunter would be one of the best in the world at that.
