I'm a avid grouse hunterin Northern MI,and want to try quail and pheasant in Iowa (not to long of a drive) does anyone have any good info on were when and how.

You will be very lucky to find quail in Iowa.

I hunted,lived in lucas county IA for about 5 years before i moved in 1996
and have never had any trouble getting bag limit on quail this time of year when it is cold you could see cubbys of 8 to 15 around fenceposts just driving downa gravelroad, tons of pheasant too.I find it hard to belive that the population in IA has dwindled much.you may not want to drive that far south but IA is FULL of quail and pheasants and there not hard to find and i never used a dog
