RE: How many pheasants?
I killed my first Pheasant of the season today. Season closes on Saturday, but no problem. I've been spending most of my time either Grouse hunting or Deer hunting. I've been out 3 times to a small WMA near my house, and hunted about an hour each time. I saw one bird each time, but only took a shot today. The first bird my dog bumped instead of pointed so I let it fly, and the second flew really low, I felt it was unsafe to shoot at. I'll be grouse hunting all day tomorrow. Should be a good day to toss some lead around.

idk i must be close to 20 now, im in North dakota and there are more birds here then we know what to do with, i dont even shoot them hardly anymore cause i get tired of having to clean them all, ive gone out for pheasants about 3 maybe 4 days, but i always end up shooting a couple every deer season when i see em

I have gone out 3 days with 2 of my buddies and his shorthair. Thats 27 possibilities. We have knocked down 24 so far. Its not always this good for us but we picked up a couple prime spots for this year.Eastern IA

Honestly I have no idea how many I have shot. If I had to guess I would say somewhere in the range of 70 to 80. We have so many birds it seems like you get your limit every time you go out. Luckly for me I have enough people to give them to I can keep hunting. Oh by the way I live in South Dakota.
