Kansas Upland Hunts

I am planning a trip to North Central Kansas for Nov 20-24 to do some quail and pheasant hunting and was hoping for a report from the hunters who may have had the chance to hunt on the opening days?

I hunted in Cloud county Ks. opening weekend, that's where I'm from,. Hunted the family farm ground and neighbors land, and I'd say the bird hunting is at it's lowest point that I can remember. We did find a few pheasant and a few coveys of quial, but there aren't too many birds around that area What part of N.C. Ks. are ya going to be hunting?

We are going to be hunting in Alta Vista, KS and probably will make a return visit to Ellsworth County.

kansas is weak this year. i've ran into 2 separate coveys of quail. the 1st one has misteriously disappeared and the 2nd one i'll be trying to sneak up on sometime soon becuase they're always in the exact same place!
